Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, process cash and card transactions efficiently, and handle cash handling responsibilities with precision
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and offering personalized recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area by regularly cleaning counters, equipment, and dining spaces in accordance with food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, including assembling sandwiches or snacks and ensuring food handling procedures are followed
- Manage retail sales transactions smoothly while promoting our products to enhance sales opportunities
- Support team members during busy periods by managing time effectively to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is highly preferred; barista experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing sales and transactions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math calculations quickly for cash handling and transaction processing
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods
- Capable of standing, walking, and performing physical tasks for extended periods; maintaining energy throughout shifts is essential
- Basic understanding of beverage preparation techniques and coffee experience is desirable
