Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Business Manager to lead our financial operations and growth initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will oversee business performance, drive strategic planning, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational objectives and maximize profitability
- Oversee daily business operations, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Manage profit and loss statements, analyzing financial data to inform decision-making and improve financial health.
- Record daily transactions, process bi-weekly payroll, manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, quarterly and yearly taxes.
- Acts as primary liaison with outsourced accounting firm for 990 prep.
- Acts as liaison with the school board’s treasurer on all financials.
- Understand non-profit accounting principles and be in compliance with non-profit regulation.
- Coordinate project management initiatives, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget
- Lead process improvement initiatives to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience managing profit & loss statements and financial analysis
- Proficient in all areas of Quickbooks and Excel
- Must have an accounting background with an understanding of debits and credits and all financial reports
- Must be highly organized and detailed individual
- Associates in Accounting and/or equivalent relevant work experience
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping preferable within a non-profit sector

Pay: $19,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year
