Professional Hair Braider (Afternoon/Evening Shift)| Virginia Beach
The Braid Lounge is hiring a skilled, professional hair braider who is able to consistently work afternoon, evening, and/or weekend shifts.
We are a high-volume, structured salon serving professional women in Virginia Beach and surrounding areas. We are looking for braiders who are efficient, reliable, and able to maintain quality in a fast-paced environment.
This is a W2 employee position (not booth rental). We provide clients, structure, and a clear path for growth within a team-based salon.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS (NON-NEGOTIABLE)
Must be available 3-5 days per week
Must be available for afternoon and evening shifts (shifts may run until 8–10 PM)
Must be able to work a consistent, set weekly schedule (no rotating)
This role is specifically for covering our highest-demand hours.
REQUIREMENTS
Able to complete medium twists within 5–6 hours
Clean, consistent parting and neat finishing
Punctual and reliable (non-negotiable)
Comfortable working in a structured, performance-based environment
Open to performance tracking (rebooking, retail, attendance)
COMPENSATION
First 30 days: Guaranteed hourly pay of $18–$22/hour (based on skill level and performance)
After 30 days: Transition to commission (40%–45%)
