Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Process Designer / Document Design Analyst III to support an Operational Excellence team responsible for designing, documenting, analyzing, and improving business processes across the organization.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in process improvement, business analysis, change management, and project management. This individual will collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency, standardize processes, develop training materials, establish process performance metrics, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and governance of business policies and procedures to ensure operational consistency and efficiency.
- Partner with business leaders to identify process improvement opportunities and support strategic initiatives.
- Conduct complex business analysis and provide recommendations aligned with organizational objectives.
- Define process performance metrics and establish methodologies for measuring operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate with reporting teams to develop operational dashboards and reporting requirements.
- Develop and facilitate process-related training, including workflows, job aids, presentations, and documentation.
- Create, maintain, and manage centralized process documentation and reference libraries.
- Document current-state and future-state business processes using process modeling best practices.
- Serve as a business project manager for enterprise process improvement initiatives.
- Partner with IT teams to define business requirements, support testing activities, and document system-related processes.
- Improve the collection, storage, and analysis of operational metrics across the organization.
- Prepare operational, financial, and statistical reports using available data sources.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder discussions related to business process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in process design, business process improvement, operational excellence, business analysis, or related disciplines.
- Proven experience documenting and improving business processes.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices.
- Experience implementing change management initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience facilitating cross-functional meetings and process improvement workshops.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within the insurance industry.
- Knowledge of insurance operations, products, and regulatory environments.
- Experience with process modeling tools and methodologies such as Visio, BPMN, Lean, or Six Sigma.
- Experience supporting operational reporting, metrics development, and performance management.
- Background in business requirements gathering, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and process documentation.
