Orange County Transit LLC is seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic for our School Buses in our Middletown location. Gas and Diesel Type A, B or C.
This is a fulltime position, Monday - Friday. Competitive Rate of Pay Based on Experience, with starting rate of $26.00 per hour.
If you have limited mechanical experience we are willing to train the right candidate!
Qualifications:
- ASE preferred but not required
- Must have experience with Diesel, Air/Hydraulic Brakes, A/C and DOT
- Candidate will regularly perform repairs and maintenance
- Must have own tools. Company provides Computer and Software.
- Must be proficient in Electronic Diagnosis, Repair of Diesel, Gasoline powered buses small and large
- Able to perform DOT inspections and diagnostic testing
- Electrical repairs are a plus
- CDL license required, will train for license
- Must pass physical/drug testing
- Candidate should possess drive/interest in New Technology and Training

Experience:
- Automotive diagnostics: 2 years (Required)
- Mechanical knowledge: 5 years (Required)
- School bus driving: 1 year (Preferred)
- Diesel Engine Repair: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- CDL A or B (Preferred)
- NYS License (Required)
