Job Summary
The Graduate Admission Counselor plays a vital role in guiding prospective students through the admissions process, ensuring they have the necessary information and support to make informed decisions about their educational journey. This position involves engaging with students, families, and educational institutions to promote the university's programs and values. Duties
- Conduct presentations and workshops to educate prospective students about university programs and admission requirements.
- Actively participate in recruitment events, including college fairs and open houses, to promote the university’s offerings.
- Provide academic advising to prospective students, helping them understand their options and navigate the admissions process effectively.
- Utilize Ellucian software for managing student data and tracking application progress.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a seamless transition for incoming students.
- Maintain relationships with high schools and community organizations to enhance recruitment efforts.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from prospective students via phone, email, or in-person meetings.
- Stay informed about trends in education administration and best practices in student recruitment.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Education Administration or a related field.
- Experience working with students in an academic setting is highly desirable.
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to present information clearly and engagingly.
- Familiarity with Ellucian or similar student information systems is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
