The Director of Hospitality with the Department of General Services leads high-level events and guest experiences at the Pennsylvania Governor Residence. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This role provides strategic leadership for hospitality, protocol, and events at the Pennsylvania Governor Residence while supporting high-quality guest experiences and operational excellence. As a Director of Hospitality, you will perform the following duties:

Event Leadership: Direct event planning and coordination to create smooth, high-quality experiences

Guest Standards: Maintain strong protocol expectations and uphold high customer service standards

Space Oversight: Manage scheduling and use of Residence areas to support operational priorities

Team Supervision: Guide hospitality staff and oversee front-of-house service operations

Operational Strategy: Develop event processes and tools that support consistency and improvement
Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. This position is essential and the employee will need to be available 24/7.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
