Our mission is to make high-quality mental health care accessible to older adults by bringing compassionate, evidence-informed psychotherapy directly into the communities where they live. Position Responsibilities
- Provide individual & group in-person psychotherapy to older adults in senior living communities across Montgomery County, MD, in independent living, assisted living, subacute, long-term care, or geriatric healthcare settings.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of emotional and behavioral health conditions, including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and cognitive decline.
- Develop and implement evidence-informed treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Collaborate with facility staff, interdisciplinary teams, and family members to support patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards using our clinician-designed electronic medical/health system (EHR).
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain ethical and professional standards of practice.
- Collaborate with the Capri Therapy team as appropriate.
- Maintain an active Maryland clinical license and professional liability insurance.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Maryland and/or Washington, D.C. independent clinical license (LCSW-C and/or LICSW, LCPC, PhD, PsyD, or equivalent).
- Medicare enrollment preferred or willingness to become credentialed
- Capri Therapy will assist throughout the credentialing process.
- Excellent interpersonal and clinical skills.
- Passion for working with older adults.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based care.
- Effective oral and written communication in English.
- Basic proficiency with technology, including Simple Practice.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills, with attention to regulatory compliance.
- Ability to provide in-person services at assigned facilities.
- Ability to walk, stand, and move between patient rooms and offices throughout the day within the communities.
- Full Vaccination and Booster Status may be required in some facilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous clinical experience in an independent living, assisted living, subacute, long-term care, or geriatric healthcare setting.
- History of treating anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders.
- Addiction experience is a plus.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
