Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, owners, residents, and visitors. This role requires a dedicated individual capable of maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance, conflict management, and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong observation skills, excellent judgment, and a commitment to public safety.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol designated areas to prevent unauthorized access, theft, or vandalism
- Conduct regular surveillance of property both on foot patrol and LSV.
- Monitor ingress/egress points and all Common Elements for trespassers and conduct security checks for said areas throughout shifts
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR if certified
- Enforce facility policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Document incidents accurately in reports and communicate effectively with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious activities and intervening appropriately
- Manage conflict situations with tact and professionalism to de-escalate potential issues
Requirements
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred
- Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous; willingness to obtain certifications if not already held
- Ability to be personable and friendly during stressful interactions
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to remain alert during long shifts and stand for extended periods
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
