Diesel Truck Technician

We’re hiring an experienced Diesel Technician to support our growing service operation. This role focuses on commercial truck service and diagnostics along with electrical, engine, drivetrain, brake, and suspension systems. Utilize diagnostic software and tools. Preform preventative maintenance and inspections. Tire mounting as needed.
General Rent-All is a multi-location equipment rental company expanding its repair and refurb capabilities. This position plays a key role in handling service work while helping raise the technical standard of our operation.
What You’ll Work On
- Commercial trucks and trailers (all makes)
- Engine repairs including cooling systems, manifolds, AC system, emissions components
- Diagnostics using scan tools and diagnostic software
- Breakdowns, service calls, and repair work
- Hydraulic systems and controls
- Electrical systems and troubleshooting
The Opportunity
You’ll handle a steady volume of real service and repair work from day one while working on integrated truck and equipment systems. This role also supports the development of newer technicians who are building toward higher-level responsibilities.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong diesel and commercial truck repair background
- Proven ability to diagnose trucks using diagnostic equipment
- Experience with PTO systems
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems
- Candidate must own and maintain their own set of hand tools. Specialty shop and diagnostic tools are provided
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
Certifications & Training (Valued, Not Required)
- CDL
- DOT inspection certification
- OEM or equipment-specific training
- Welding or fabrication experience
Pay & Benefits
- Pay range $25 - $40+ per hour based on experience
