What You’ll Do
As a Field Services Technician, you will be a critical part of our technical operations team, ensuring the optimal performance of our utility-scale solar and battery inverter systems. Your main duties will include:
1. Commissioning & Start-Up
-
Perform start-up and commissioning of solar inverters at photovoltaic plants.

Ensure systems are configured and operating according to specifications.
2. Troubleshooting & Repair
-
Diagnose and repair inverter faults in the field.
-
Replace components such as MV transformers, switchgear, electronic boards, AC/DC fuses, fans, and filters.
3. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
-
Conduct scheduled maintenance and updates (software/hardware).
-
Follow safe start/stop procedures and warranty protocols.
4. Field Reporting & Documentation
-
Submit accurate daily field reports detailing work performed and time spent.
-
Complete expense reports and maintain inventory of assigned parts.
5. Customer Support & Safety
-
Provide technical assistance and ensure customer satisfaction.

Adhere to safety protocols and company training standards.
6. Asset Management
-
Maintain and care for company property including vehicle, tools, devices, and PPE.

Ensure proper installation of wiring and connections (Layer 1 responsibilities).
7. Travel & Flexibility

Travel as required based on operational needs across the U.S.

Be available for emergency support and 24/7 service coverage when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Education or licenses: Journeyman or Master’s Electrician license. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics engineering, or related technical field.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in field service, commissioning, or maintenance of industrial electrical equipment.
- Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of electrical systems and components.

Experience with solar inverters (desirable), MV equipment, and power electronics.

Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software updates.
- Certifications: OSHA, NFPA 70E, or similar safety certifications preferred.
- Soft Skills:

Problem-solving mindset and customer-oriented attitude.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Strong communication and reporting skills.
