Mandy’s Spring Nursery is hiring an experienced, hands-on Landscape Foreman to lead a landscape construction crew. This is a working leadership position. You will spend most of the day in the field—organizing the crew, laying out the work, operating equipment, solving problems, and helping build high-quality landscapes and hardscapes.
What You’ll Do
- Lead a landscape construction crew on residential projects
- Review plans and organize the day’s work
- Assign tasks and keep the crew working safely and productively
- Work alongside the crew during installation
- Install plantings, patios, walkways, walls, drainage, grading, irrigation, and other landscape features
- Operate skid steers, excavators, compactors, and other equipment
- Track labor, materials, progress, and jobsite needs
- Communicate questions or problems before they cause delays
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite
- Train crew members and help them improve their skills
- Make sure completed work meets Mandy’s Spring standards
What We’re Looking For
- At least 3 years of landscape construction, hardscape, excavation, masonry, or related field experience
- Experience leading a crew or readiness to step into field leadership
- Ability to read landscape plans, take measurements, establish grades, and lay out work
- Experience operating construction or landscape equipment
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
- Ability to perform physically active outdoor work in changing weather
- Authorization to work in the United States
Spanish-English bilingual ability, horticultural knowledge, CDL experience, and industry certifications are helpful but not required.Schedule
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- Typical start time is 7:00 AM
- Additional hours may be available during the busy season
- Year-round work; we continue landscape and construction projects during the winter as conditions allow
- Worksites throughout the Saratoga Springs, Glens Falls, Lake George, and surrounding region
