Our Sous Chef is the heart of the kitchen — crafting rustic Italian dishes, perfectly cooked steaks, and seasonal specials with care, consistency, and pride. What You’ll Do
- Execute menu items across multiple stations (sauté, grill, grade manger) with accuracy, timing, and presentation in mind.
- Prepare high-quality proteins, fresh pastas, house-made sauces, vegetables, and more to spec.
- Follow recipes and prep lists while applying solid cooking fundamentals — seasoning, timing, temperature control, and plating.
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked workstations throughout service.
- Communicate with the chef, expo, and teammates to keep service flowing.
- Practice food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper labeling, dating, and storage.
- Assist in inventory rotation (FIFO) and receiving product with care.
- Contribute to a positive kitchen culture that values teamwork, hustle, and culinary pride.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience on the line in a chef-driven or elevated casual restaurant (Italian or steakhouse experience a plus).
- Proficiency in at least one of the following: sautéing, grilling, broiling, or pasta cookery.
- Strong knife skills and a sharp eye for detail and plate presentation.
- Reliability, urgency, and a team-first attitude.
- Ability to take direction, learn new techniques, and stay cool under pressure.
- Must be available nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
