Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve hookahs according to established safety and quality standards, ensuring each guest’s preferences are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all equipment, workstations, and common areas in compliance with health regulations.
- Monitor guest behavior to promote a safe environment, managing conflicts or disturbances promptly and professionally.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about hookah flavors, accessories, and related services.
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems while adhering to cash handling procedures.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including manual handling of heavy equipment and outdoor work safety measures.
- Assist in setting up event spaces or outdoor venues for special occasions or group bookings, managing logistics efficiently.
Skills
- Strong background in customer service with the ability to engage guests positively.
- Experience managing events or working in event venues enhances your ability to coordinate group activities smoothly.
- Conflict management skills to handle challenging situations with professionalism and tact.
- Knowledge of safety protocols including first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and lifeguard experience is highly valued.
- Previous retail sales experience or food service background supports effective upselling and guest interaction.
- Familiarity with POS systems for processing cash transactions accurately.
- Outdoor work experience or resort experience is beneficial for adapting to various environments and guest needs.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting safely during setup or cleanup processes.
- Basic math skills for managing payments and balancing registers efficiently.
- Experience working with children or hosting family-friendly events is a plus for versatile guest engagement.
- Public speaking or hospitality experience helps in confidently communicating with diverse audiences.
