Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Back of House Team Member to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and dietary department, contributing to food preparation, menu planning, and overall kitchen efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong commitment to food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation and handling in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Support menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dietary needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.
- Participate in catering events as needed, ensuring high standards of food presentation and service.
- Follow all food handling procedures to minimize waste and ensure quality control.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dietary department, catering, or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and kitchen safety protocols.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork.
- A passion for the food service industry and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
- Be available to work the closing/latenight shift.
