About Us.
Diamond Smiles Implants is a full arch implant practice focused on changing lives through All-on-X and implant dentistry. We are a tight-knit team that moves fast, holds a high standard for quality, and takes real pride in the work that leaves our lab. If you want to be part of cases where patients walk out with a completely new smile the same day, this is that kind of office.
The Role.
We are looking for an in-house lab technician who owns our on-site lab work and can also step chairside when the schedule calls for it. This is a hands-on role for someone who is precise with their hands, organized with case timelines, and comfortable being part of a clinical team rather than tucked away in a back room. Lab work is the primary focus. Assisting is secondary and situational, so you do not need to be a seasoned assistant on day one, but you do need to be willing to learn and jump in on busy surgical days.
What You Will Own
- In-House Fabrication and Adjustments (Primary)
- Fabricate custom temporaries, provisional restorations, finals, and diagnostic models
- Scan, Print, Finish models from impressions and digital scans
- Fabricate and adjust night guards, occlusal splints, and whitening trays
- Create surgical guides and stents as directed by the doctor
- Adjust, repair, and reline dentures, partials, and other removable appliances
- Convert and finish full arch provisionals on surgery days
- Design, Mill, Finish porcelain/zirconia restorations from single crowns to full arches
- Finishing and Quality Control Polish, stain, and glaze restorations to match patient shade prescriptions
- Inspect all in-house lab work for fit, function, and esthetics before it goes chairside
- Verify that every fabricated item meets the doctor’s standards and clinical specifications
- Troubleshoot fit issues and make same-day adjustments so patients are not left waiting
Lab Equipment and Materials Management
- Operate and maintain all in-house lab equipment (handpieces, vacuum formers, model trimmers, articulators, and similar)
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of lab instruments
- Monitor lab material inventory and communicate reorder needs before we run short
- Keep the lab clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA standards
Case Coordination
- Communicate with the clinical team on case priorities, timelines, and any fabrication concerns
- Review lab prescriptions and shade tabs with the clinical team to confirm accuracy
- Schedule in-house lab work for the best possible turnaround
- Flag quality or material issues to the doctor promptly
- Help track outside lab cases, including incoming and outgoing delivery timelines
Chairside and Clinical Support (Secondary)
- Step in as a chairside assistant on high-volume surgical and restorative days
- Assist with suction, retraction, and four-handed dentistry as skill level allows
- Take and process digital radiographs and intraoral scans as directed and as credentialing permits
- Support instrument processing, sterilization, and operatory turnover when needed
- Help with operatory setup, restocking, and infection control standards between patients
What We Are Looking For
Required
- Hands-on dental lab experience, in an in-house lab or commercial lab setting
- Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of finished work
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines without losing track of anything
- Comfortable communicating directly with a doctor and clinical team
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently once trained
Preferred
- Experience with full arch, All-on-X, or implant prosthetics
- Familiarity with digital workflows, intraoral scans, and CAD/CAM
- Dental assisting experience or state radiology certification
- Experience with Dentrix, Exocad, Google, Excel, Word, etc
- CDT certification is a plus but not required
Why You Will Like It Here
- Real ownership of the lab, not a role where you are just following orders
- A team that communicates and actually backs each other up
- Steady case flow in a growing implant practice
- [Benefits: Bonus opportunities with growth, health insurance, PTO, paid holidays, continuing education, uniform allowance]
