Pay Range: $25.00 – $28.00 / Hour
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our equipment rental team. You will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostic troubleshooting, and repair of a diverse fleet of small to medium-sized equipment. Your primary goal is to ensure our inventory—ranging from power tools and lawn equipment to mini-excavators and articulating lifts—is safe, reliable, and ready for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on small to medium equipment, focusing on gas and diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
- Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical failures using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
- Quality Control: Inspect and test equipment upon return from rentals to ensure functionality and safety.
- Shop Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2–5 years of professional experience in equipment or automotive repair, preferably with small to medium construction or rental equipment.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of hydraulic systems, DC electrical systems, and small engine repair.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and stand, bend, or kneel for extended periods while performing repairs.
- Communication: Ability to clearly explain repairs to team members and occasionally assist customers with equipment operation and safety procedures.
