PURPOSE:
-
To perform supervisory and training duties for the crew at the Rest Area.

Provide continual, on-site supervision to ensure the Rest Area is run in accordance to contract specifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-
The ability to supervise and schedule workers, and have basic mechanical/plumbing abilities.

Must be able to communicate with PennDOT, sub-contractors, and the public on a positive customer service approach.

Must be able to perform all necessary maintenance skills required of contract.

Will be exposed to dirt, dust, and chemical solutions.
-
Must have ability to learn how to measure and mix cleaning solutions and be alert to hazards.
-
Frequent turning, stooping, bending and reaching is required.
-
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
-
Must possess the ability to lift 50 pounds throughout work shift.

Must be available all shifts and available for "call outs" as necessary to maintain contract operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Supervise and train associates in a cost, effective manner in accordance with contract specifications.

Maintain schedule of associates work hours.

Make monthly written inspection reports.
-
Use of positive cost and time control methods.
-
Ensure the security of Rest Area and safeguard keys.

Follow established safety policies and procedures.
-
Be on-call for emergency situations and coverage of work hours.

Monitor sub-contractor's hours and work habits during daylight hours.

Advise PennDOT of necessary Rest Area repairs.

Approve emergency call-outs for plumbing, electrical, and sewage/water plant sub-contractors.

Coordinate the clean-up of chemical spills by contracting the appropriate personnel.

Painting as applicable.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Prepares all related reports and correspondence, including monitoring of PennDOT diary.
- Reports directly to CFO, and/or President & CEO.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A high school diploma is required.
- Two years supervisory experience required.
- Basic mechanical/plumbing abilities required.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills required.
- Must possess a current valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
