Medication Technician Job Summary: A Medication Technician is responsible for a block of residents; either Cart A or Cart B, and assists with the health, safety and well-being of residents, under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor. At Faithful Living our care is designed to enhance personal independence and dignity. We know that experienced and trained staff make the difference! Providing compassionate care for our residents is a primary focus for us, and we also encourage as much individual independence as possible.
Shifts: 6:30am-3pm // 2:30pm-11pm //11pm- 7:00am

Medication Technician Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to work on a team and independently
- Is free from a medical condition, including drug or alcohol addiction that would limit the staff person from providing necessary personal care services with reasonable skill and safety
- Successfully completes and passes the Pennsylvania Department-approved Direct Care training, Med Tech, and Diabetes courses- if not already completed
Medication Technician Responsibilities
- Read previous shift notes and/or get report from previous shift
- Administer medications and treatments
- Follow through with any correspondence from doctors, hospitals, labs, new orders, etc.
- Fill out lab requests and place in lab book
- Complete MARS monthly
- All Med Techs must work every other weekend if needed. When needed, staff will fill in for vacancies on all shifts. Part-time shifts may vary from 4-8 shifts per pay period
- Sign in medications that get delivered
- Report any med errors to your supervisor immediately as well as to the doctor
