Location: Remote (HQ: Gilbert, AZ)
Term: 2-Year Term (2026/2027 Operational Cycle)
About VPMMA & Our Mission
The Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA), a $501(c)(3) nonprofit, was established to support the future success of military service members, veterans, and their spouses. Our goal is to help this vital community navigate career and life changes by offering core project management skills, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities.
Military transitions mark significant life changes. Reintegration presents unique challenges such as increased risks of career stagnation, family issues, and mental health problems. At VPMMA, we see project management not just as a job, but as an essential life skill that helps veterans lead, organize, and succeed amid change.
The Power of Your Time & Talent (Corporate Social Responsibility)
VPMMA operates entirely on volunteer efforts. We do not employ paid staff; instead, our executive team and support groups are driven entirely by individuals donating their professional skills out of passion.
Taking on a leadership position at VPMMA represents the pinnacle of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Your strategic vision, operational expertise, and leadership will directly grow an alliance that has already supported hundreds of veterans in succeeding after their military service. This role goes beyond typical advisory duties, as VPMMA operates with a working board where directors actively participate in daily operations and execute strategic plans that make a real difference.
