Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each pediatric patient’s needs, including those with neurological, orthopedic, or developmental conditions
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical abilities, physiological functions, and mobility limitations using current clinical standards
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals such as physicians, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and social workers to coordinate care plans and optimize patient outcomes
- Manage discharge planning processes by preparing detailed reports and recommendations for ongoing care or community support services
- Document all patient interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems while adhering to clinical documentation standards
- Deliver patient-centered care in various settings including outpatient clinics, inpatient hospital units, home health environments, and outpatient rehabilitation centers
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, home programs, and community resources to support continued progress outside of therapy sessions
Skills
- Proven experience practicing in a physical therapy role with a focus on pediatrics and geriatrics as applicable
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, neurology, orthopedics, and medical terminology relevant to pediatric care
- Skilled in treatment plan development that incorporates discharge planning, care plans, and patient rehabilitation strategies
- Familiarity with outpatient clinic experience, inpatient hospital settings, home health services, and outpatient rehabilitation centers
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) management and medical documentation standards to ensure accurate clinical records
- Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations including children with developmental delays or neurological impairments
- Excellent client communication skills to explain treatment procedures clearly and foster trust with young patients and their families
- Experience working with geriatric patients or within home & community care environments is a plus
- Knowledge of physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and other modalities used for pediatric rehabilitation

Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
