Duties
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffee drinks, teas, and smoothies with precision and flair.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders, and ensuring their needs are met promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, beverage service stations, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Manage cash handling procedures, processing cash transactions accurately while balancing the register at shift end.
- Assist in food preparation tasks when necessary, ensuring quality standards are upheld for all food and beverage offerings.
- Support inventory management by restocking supplies, monitoring product freshness, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or food service background is preferred; familiarity with coffee preparation is a plus.
- Experience with POS systems such asor Micros POS enhances efficiency in sales processing.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods smoothly while maintaining quality standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a team-oriented mindset.
