Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and the ability to work with different materials. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials.
Duties
Job duties will vary daily. This is not an all encompassing list of duties. We are a residential Builder and Remodler. Different jobs will have different tasks to complete.
- Assemble and install structures such as frameworks, floors, and door frames according to specifications.
- Fabricate and repair wooden structures, ensuring precision in measurements and cuts.
- Perform siding installation and repairs to enhance the exterior of buildings.
- Utilize caulking techniques to seal joints and openings for weatherproofing.
- Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Employ hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and effectively.
- Execute trim carpentry tasks including the installation of moldings, baseboards, and other decorative elements.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure project completion on time.
Skills
- Proficient in blueprint reading for accurate project execution.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in carpentry work.
- Ability to perform caulking effectively for sealing purposes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
