Vice President of Sales – Premier Catering & Events Company

An established, award-winning catering and events company is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Sales to lead its sales organization during an exciting period of growth.
This executive leadership role is ideal for a proven sales leader who excels at developing high-performing teams, building long-term client relationships, and using data and strategy to drive business results. This is not a cold-calling or hunter role—it is a leadership opportunity focused on coaching, relationship management, and sustainable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s sales strategy to support aggressive growth objectives.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team.
- Establish sales goals, forecasting, reporting, and key performance indicators.
- Strengthen relationships with key clients, venue partners, and strategic business partners.
- Expand existing business while identifying partnership and growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, operations, and marketing to deliver an exceptional client experience.
- Optimize sales processes, accountability, and team performance.
- Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, tastings, and key client events.
What We’re Looking For
- Executive sales leadership experience within full-service catering, multi-unit restaruant catering, premium foodservice, hospitality, event services, or related industries.
- Proven success leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
- Experience managing a business generating $10M+ annual revenue.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Exceptional coaching, mentoring, and leadership capabilities.
- Strong relationship-building and client retention experience.
- Executive presence with strong negotiation and communication skills.
Work Environment
- 100% in-office leadership role based in Chicago.
- Regular off-site client meetings, tastings, and industry events are expected, but this is not a hybrid or remote position.
- You will lead a talented, growing sales team that is looking for a hands-on leader focused on coaching, accountability, and development.
