Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming
- Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing for changes, and reporting findings accurately while adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as required
- Support medication administration following care plans and ensure proper documentation of all care activities
- Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to promote socialization and mental well-being
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring all safety protocols are followed
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with team members about each individual’s progress and needs
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information
- Experience assisting with ADLs, medication administration, and developing or following care plans is essential
- Previous work with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism enhances your ability to connect effectively
