*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Associate Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a positive learning environment for students, supporting their academic and social development. This position requires a strong understanding of childhood development. The Associate Teacher will collaborate with lead teachers to implement lesson plans and assist in curriculum development tailored to meet the diverse needs of all students.
*Duties*
Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. - Support the lead teacher in delivering instruction. Foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation and promotes social skills. - Monitor student progress and provide individualized support to enhance learning outcomes. - Collaborate with colleagues to develop and adapt curriculum materials suitable for diverse learners, including those with special education needs. - Maintain an organized classroom setting conducive to learning and exploration. - Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities. - Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of childhood development.
*Requirements*
Must meet the minimum requirements for a GSRP associate teacher, CDA, or on the path to obtain at least the minimum requirements. - Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices. - Experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable. - Knowledge of curriculum development and lesson planning strategies. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. - Ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment for all students. - Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration within the educational community.
