Job Description:
As an Appliance Repair & Service Assistant at Checked Appliances, you will play a vital role in our day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Appliance Repair: Learning and assisting in the repair of various appliances under the guidance of experienced technicians.
- Customer Service: Greeting and assisting customers as they visit the store, answering questions, and providing excellent service.
- Payment Processing: Handling in-store payments, ensuring accurate transactions, and maintaining records.
- Loading & Unloading: Helping to load and unload appliances for customers and deliveries.
- Delivery & Installation Assistance: Assisting with the delivery and installation of appliances and occasionally furniture.
- General Store Support: Helping maintain a clean and organized store environment and performing other tasks as needed.
Compensation:
- Starting Pay: $10 per hour
- Post-Training Pay: $12.44 - $15 per hour, depending on performance and skills
Work Hours:
- 20-35 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling with main hours of operation between 10 AM and 6 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays during busy periods
Training:
- Comprehensive training provided on appliance repair, customer service, payment processing, and delivery assistance
Requirements:
- A strong willingness to learn and grow in the appliance repair field
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy appliances and furniture
- Basic math skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Apprenticeship
Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
