- Day shift as-position in the Cardiac Rehab Department
Essential functions of the position that include but are not limited to:
- Constantly assess for patient safety; identify patients that are at risk for a fall as well as those at higher cardiovascular risk.

Accurately take a blood pressure and teach patients normal blood pressure range.

Communicate with physicians for referrals and to inform of patient rhythms and blood pressures..

Maintain complete Phase II charts for cardiac rehab.

Engage patients during their evaluations; setting goals and helping them to make healthier lifestyle choices.

Develop and maintain a good working relationship with participants in Phase II & III.

Completes the ITP (Individual Treatment Plans) for every Phase II patient every 30 days.

Completes discharge paperwork for Phase II patients.

Obtain and manage the outcomes data for cardiac rehab Phase II.

Scan the Holter monitors daily as they come back.

Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree from accredited college with a major in Exercise Science or Personal Trainer or certified as an Exercise Specialist from the American College of Sports Medicine.

Demonstrates effective verbal and written communications skills.

Current BCLS certification.

Previous cardiac and pulmonary rehab experience desired.

Demonstrates personal physical fitness and commitment to a healthy lifestyle consistent with the tenets of cardiac rehab.

We are looking to fill a key position as an Exercise Specialist in our Cardiac Rehab Department. This position, under general direction of the Cardiac Rehab RN, develops, implements and evaluates exercise prescriptions and exercise sessions for all phases of cardio/pulmonary rehab as well as other chronic illnesses. Supervises cardiovascular stress tests for individuals with and without chronic disease in order to obtain reliable and valid data. Adjusts exercise equipment to needs to individual patients.
