School-Based Physical Therapist
HWB Therapy is seeking a passionate, energetic, and student-centered School-Based Physical Therapist to join our experienced team for the 2026–2027 school year. We are a private practice specializing exclusively in providing exceptional physical and occupational therapy services within school settings throughout northern New Hampshire and Vermont.
Whether you are an experienced pediatric therapist or looking to transition into school-based practice, we provide mentorship, training, and ongoing support to help you succeed.
Position Details

- One remote workday per week available for full-time therapists

What You'll Do
As a School-Based Physical Therapist, you will collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to help students maximize their independence and participation throughout the school day. Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating students and developing individualized therapy plans
- Improving gross motor skills, balance, strength, coordination, and mobility
- Addressing functional school-based skills including walking, stair navigation, running, jumping, and playground participation
- Assisting with adaptive equipment, positioning, seating, and accessibility needs
- Collaborating with educational staff to support student success within the school environment
- Participating in IEP meetings and maintaining required documentation
Qualifications
- You must be licensed (or immediately eligible for licensure) as a Physical Therapist and legally authorized to practice Physical Therapy.
- A current Vermont and/or New Hampshire Physical Therapy license is required before beginning employment. Applicants who are eligible for licensure may apply, and HWB Therapy will assist with the licensing process as needed.
- Pediatric and/or school-based experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- New graduates are encouraged to apply.
