Established local apple growing/packing operation is seeking a motivated packing line maintenance mechanic to join our team.
Responsibilities - your main responsibility is to maintain proper production by ensuring that the production line equipment is working properly and at full capacity. Responsible for the following and any other duties that may be assigned by your supervisor.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance in accordance with company standards
- Clean and lubricate equipment as needed
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems
- Repair equipment as required
- Inspect equipment for problems and possible improvements
- Assist other mechanics as needed
- Follow all safety procedures, including LOTO (lock out/ tag out) procedures
- Respond to specific tasks and projects in a timely manner
- Document findings during preventative maintenance
- Produce quality workmanship in a professional manner
Basic Qualifications –
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a packing line maintenance mechanic
- The ability to take direction/instructions from supervisors
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- PLC programming experience is a PLUS
