Responsibilities
- Assist with the safe delivery and installation of appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and furniture
- Unload trucks using hand trucks and proper lifting techniques while adhering to safety protocols.
- Set up appliances according to schematics and technical specifications, ensuring proper connections for plumbing, electrical, and ventilation systems.
- Use ladders safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas during installations or repairs.
- Conduct basic appliance repairs or maintenance tasks as needed, utilizing mechanical knowledge and equipment repair skills.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain installation procedures and answer questions about appliance operation or maintenance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including installation details and any issues encountered during service calls.
Experience
- Prior experience in delivery driving, field service work, or as a service technician is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of schematics, electrical systems, refrigeration principles, plumbing connections, and mechanical components is advantageous.
- Familiarity with the use of power tools, ladder safety protocols, and equipment repair techniques is essential.
- Customer service experience that demonstrates professionalism and effective communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with box trucks or similar delivery vehicles is a plus.
- Understanding of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO), assembly processes, and electrical experience will support success in this role.
