One Specialist for second shift (4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m.)
One for third shift (12:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m.)
And two power shifts (10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.)
DUTIES:
- Patrols buildings, parking lots, and other areas, including monitoring areas for illegal activity; ensuring doors and windows remain locked; issuing citations for illegal parking; and performing related tasks.
- Responds to calls for public safety services and emergencies, including, but not limited to: responding to fire alarms and contacting a fire department as needed; and responding to medical alarms to determine whether a resident needs medical attention.
- Performs basic maintenance tasks for housing units.
- Evaluates alarm systems, sprinkler, camera, card access, radios, and other systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Prepares and files reports outlining lease violations, parking citations, general investigations, or other incidents.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); 2-5 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
- Wisconsin Driver’s License
KNOWLEDGE:
- Various alarm systems
- Related laws, rules, and regulations
- Computers and related equipment
- Principles and practices of safety and security
- Building layouts
- Methods of preparing reports
- Standard maintenance principles.
Independent Judgment:
Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and some innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices. Refers unusual problems to supervisor.

- Evaluating alarm systems for proper functioning

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
