We are seeking a skilled Drafter to join our Lindsay Glass team. This role is essential in translating design concepts and project specifications into precise technical drawings that guide our fabrication and installation teams. The Drafter plays a vital role in ensuring that all glass products meet client requirements and industry standards, contributing directly to project success and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities and Scope
- Create detailed and accurate technical drawings and plans for commercial glass projects using CAD software.
- Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, project managers, and fabricators to understand project specifications and design intent.
- Review blueprints, sketches, and other documentation to prepare drawings for fabrication and installation.
- Make revisions to existing drawings based on feedback and changes in project scope.
- Ensure compliance with safety codes, industry standards, and company quality requirements in all drafting work.
- Maintain organized records of drawings and project documentation for easy access and future reference.
Candidate Profile and Expectations
The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team environment. You should have prior experience drafting in a commercial or architectural setting, preferably with knowledge of glass or glazing systems. Proficiency in CAD software (such as AutoCAD or Revit) is essential.
