Duties
- Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, patient intake, and preparing patients for examinations in outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Assist with procedures including phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support procedures.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately by documenting medical histories, treatment plans, and ICD coding for billing and record-keeping purposes.
- Support medical office operations by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient records efficiently.
- Conduct patient education on medications, treatment protocols, and health maintenance while ensuring compassionate service.
- Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to safety protocols and hospital standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in various settings such as clinics, emergency departments, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and Level I Trauma Centers to deliver timely patient care.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant in outpatient or inpatient settings with familiarity in dermatology, internal medicine, or urgent care environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management.
- Experience performing phlebotomy and basic laboratory procedures with accuracy and professionalism.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical documentation standards.
- Prior hospital experience including Level I Trauma Centers or Geriatrics is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to support both outpatient clinics and inpatient units such as OR (Operating Room) or PICU environments.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications related to dermatology or hospital medicine are a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
