We are looking for someone who is dependable, sharp, motivated, organized, and thrives in a fast-moving clinical environment.
Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and prepare them for examinations. Gather information regarding the patients’ medical histories, pain level, and/or progress being made between appointments.
- Assist physicians during examinations and in-office procedures with professionalism and efficiency.
- Educate and support patients regarding treatment plans, therapies, medications, and post-visit care instructions.
- Serve as a key liaison between patients and providers by answering calls, responding to questions, and ensuring timely communication.
- Coordinate patient care by scheduling appointments, arranging lab services, and assisting with hospital admissions and referrals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records within the EMR system.
- Organize and manage surgery packets, patient education materials, and medical documentation.
- Prepare, clean, sterilize, and restock exam rooms and medical equipment daily to maintain a safe and efficient clinical environment.
- Perform routine equipment checks and ensure machines are cleaned and functioning according to office protocols and standards.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to multitask in a busy clinic setting
- Positive attitude and team mentality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Someone who takes initiative and learns quickly
