About the Customer Service Manager / Inside Sales Manager Job
This is a hands-on leadership role managing our customer service department while actively assisting customers with quotes, orders, pricing decisions, and account management.
You will be expected to think independently, make decisions, and keep the team organized and moving efficiently. This role is best suited for someone comfortable in a fast-paced environment who can handle both customer interaction and team support without constant direction.
You will also be responsible for helping keep the team accountable, addressing day-to-day issues, and ensuring work is getting done.

Responsibilities
- Answer incoming customer calls and emails
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Assist customers with product selection and recommendations
- Prepare quotes and make pricing decisions within company guidelines
- Resolve customer issues and follow up as needed
- Lead, support, and coach a small customer service team
- Train and onboard new customer service employees
- Help prioritize daily workflow and ensure orders are processed efficiently
- Work closely with the warehouse, purchasing, and outside sales team to ensure smooth order flow
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and customer service
Requirements
- 5+ years of customer service, inside sales, or account management experience
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable making decisions and handling pricing questions
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented

Preferred Experience
- Wholesale distribution, industrial supply, security hardware, construction products, electrical, plumbing, or HVAC distribution.
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting, training, supervising, or leading a small team

- Experience working with repeat customers or account management
