We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and student-centered educator to join our Related Arts team as a K-1 STEAM Teacher. In this role, you will introduce our youngest learners (Kindergarten and First Grade) to the wonders of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. Through hands-on, play-based, and inquiry-driven lessons, you will foster curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills at a foundational level.

Daily Schedule: Plan and deliver high-quality STEAM instruction to four classes per day as part of the school's Related Arts rotation.

Curriculum Implementation: Utilize the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Launch curriculum alongside supplementary materials to design age-appropriate, integrated STEAM lessons.

Early Childhood Adaptation: Translate complex concepts into engaging, hands-on, and digestible activities tailored specifically for 5- to 7-year-old learners.

Manage a dynamic, resource-rich classroom environment that encourages safe exploration, collaboration, and creativity.

Maintain, organize, and manage STEAM materials, technology tools, and art supplies.

Collaborate actively with the Related Arts team and classroom teachers to align or enrich grade-level themes.

Participate in school-wide duties essential to daily operations, including arrival, lunch, and dismissal duties.

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Education from an accredited college or university.

Required: Valid State Teaching License/Certificate appropriate for early childhood or elementary education.

Required: Willingness and ability to complete Project Lead the Way (PLTW) certification training (provided/sponsored by the district, if not already certified).

Strong foundational knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.

Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.

Previous experience teaching Kindergarten, First Grade, or elementary Related Arts.

Familiarity with introductory coding toys, basic robotics, or makerspace concepts for early learners.
