Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales efficiently and accurately
- Handle retail sales transactions, including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing registers
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling, equipment sanitation, and overall tidiness
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders promptly, and addressing inquiries professionally
- Assist in food preparation tasks to ensure quality standards are met for all menu items
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers quickly while maintaining high standards of food safety and beverage quality
Requirements
- Prior experience as a barista or in food service is highly preferred; café experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Plum POS or Micros POS for retail transactions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales calculations, and register balancing
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely beverage preparation and customer service
