Position Summary
This position provides the necessary implementation of all maintenance relates tasks of the company’s facilities and equipment. This includes adherence to all company policies, procedures, objectives, and activities as directed by the President by performing the following duties personally or in conjunction with other production team members.
Essential Functions
- Implements company strategies, policies and procedures in conjunction with production and delivery schedule requirements as directed by the Production Manager.
- Confers daily with Production Manager and performs all necessary assigned activities in order to meet daily requirements. Includes the construction of forms, form maintenance, and working on the pour crew during times of personnel shortages.
- Acts and performs in compliance to company’s quality assurance procedure.
- Identifies areas in which reductions or efficiencies can be made and makes recommendations to COO or owner.
- Performs in such manner that maximizes the efficient use of resources.
- Informs Production Manager of any required maintenance of equipment that could detrimentally affect production schedules in a timely manner.
- Practices periodic regular and preventive maintenance procedures on all company owned/leased equipment in order to minimize unscheduled downtime of such equipment.
- Obtains quotes and management approvals for any repairs that exceed authorized limits.
- Reports any sign of equipment abuse or improper operation to Production Manager.
- Maintains operational lines of communication to facilitate efficiency.
- Adheres to standard operational and work practices that comply with approved safety standards.
- Responsible for maintaining acceptable housekeeping practices at company’s facilities. Works so that the final product meets the company’s acceptable quality standards.
- Acts in way that promotes teamwork amongst all team members.
- Maintains company’s building and grounds in accordance to acceptable company guidelines for appearance and condition.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Five to ten years of related maintenance experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respond to questions from managers, clients, vendors, and the general public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, perimeter, area, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic arithmetic and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physically demanding work.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
Work Environment
- Work performed in manufacturing and outdoor environments.
- Exposure to weather conditions, dust, noise, moving machinery, and
construction-related hazards.
- Must adhere to OSHA safety standards and company safety policies.
Compensation
- Compensation is determined by the Production Manager of the company and may be adjusted periodically, if required, by the Production Manager. This is an hourly position with bonus opportunity, and as such, requires working whatever hours the needs of the company dictates.
Performance Measures
The Maintenance Mechanic will be evaluated on safe work practices, equipment maintenance, minimizing downtime, quality of form construction and maintenance, upkeep of buildings and grounds, productivity, communication, and teamwork.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
