People's Pawn Shop Inc. is a small family run business in Columbia, SC since 1985. Our goal is to continue to give our customers the best collateral loan prices with the lowest interest rates & the best prices on used unredeemed inventory in the Columbia area. As a team we strive to provide Fast Friendly Service to all customers while maintaining an enjoyable, exciting, and rewarding work environment for our staff.

We are looking for a full-time (47 hours a week) individual with the following qualities / skills:
- Self-Motivated, outgoing, honest, and reliable
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must be able to lift objects of at least 30 lbs. or more
- Must be able to stand and be on your feet for up to 9.5 hours a day and also, bend, squat, reach, and lift items through out the day.
- You will be in direct contact with customers on a constant basis (MUST be presentable)
- Willingness to learn and be attentive to small details.
- Have reliable transportation
- Computer literate
- Be able to work well under supervision and with a small team
- Be willing to work 47 hours a week including Saturdays (closed Sunday)
Primary responsibilities:
- Assisting customers in pawning (loaning) & testing their items
- Assisting customers in retail sales of jewelry, electronics, tools, firearms, musical equipment, etc.
- Building relationships with our customers for repeat business
- Assisting customers over the phone with questions and payments
- Keeping the store and merchandise clean and organized
- Comply with industry regulations and store policies
- Always have a respectful and friendly attitude with our customers and staff
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $38,000.00 per year
