Community Manager
Job Description
40+ Work Week varies by business need; on-call rotation required
The Community Manager is responsible for the overall performance of a multi-family residential community, overseeing leasing, marketing, maintenance, staff supervision, and resident relations. This role serves as the primary point of contact between the property and corporate staff, vendors, residents, property owners and investors.

Self-motivated, a fast learner, willing to go above and beyond, and able to multitask and prioritize effectively with minimal supervision.
Leadership & Team Development
Supervises and trains property staff, holding the team accountable to company expectations and policy.
- Oversee all property activity, including leasing, marketing, and maintenance.
- Supervise and train property staff.
- Investigate and resolve resident complaints.
- Maintain property appearance to ensure compliance with company expectations and policy.
- Serve as a liaison and communicate effectively with corporate staff, vendors, residents, government regulators, property owners and investors.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Fair Housing Act.
- Effectively monitor, analyze, and resolve resident delinquencies.
- Support sister properties with staffing and operational needs.
- Attend regular staff meetings, including developmental, safety, corporate, and other meetings as assigned.
- Stay current on housing industry and market trends.
- Execute the Eviction Process.
- Support and contribute positively to the community team.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude.
- Consistently follow and apply community policies.
- Always represent the company professionally.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment and manage high phone volume.
- Ability to walk the property on a regular basis, including stairs and hallways.
- Ability to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, and climb stairs.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors under varying weather conditions based on business need.
- Ability to sit at a desk and behind a computer for an extended period of time.
- Ability to work on short notice based on business need.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, handling objects, tools, or controls; reaching with hands and arms.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to work in an environment that is typically moderate/high noise level.

- Experience in multi-family home management is a plus.
- Leasing experience is a plus.

- Working knowledge of real estate law and leasing practices.

- Valid driver's license required.
- Reliable transportation with sufficient automobile insurance required.
- Proficiency in both verbal and written English communication.
