Position Overview
The Junior Sales Specialist plays a critical role in both customer experience and revenue generation. This position is responsible for delivering an exceptional in-store experience, driving aftermarket sales, and supporting the sales team through product education, promotions, and floor coverage.
This is a development-focused role designed to train and prepare team members for advancement into a full Sales Representative position. High performers in this role will be first in line for open sales opportunities within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience

Greet every customer promptly and professionally

Maintain showroom cleanliness and presentation standards

Build trust and long-term customer relationships
Aftermarket Sales & Product Recommendations

Test pool and spa water and recommend complete treatment solutions

Drive sales of chemicals, accessories, and maintenance products

Promote bundled solutions rather than single-item purchases
-
Educate customers on product benefits and proper usage
Upselling & Promotions

Consistently recommend upgrades and add-on products

Execute current promotions and in-store campaigns

Promote key focus items such as Smartop covers, water care systems, and wellness products
Sales Floor Support

Assist with greeting and engaging spa customers

Support Sales Representatives during busy periods

Learn and assist with basic product demonstrations and walkthroughs
Sales Training & Development

Participate in weekly sales training and roleplay sessions
-
Develop product knowledge across hot tubs, swim spas, saunas, and accessories

Learn basic sales process, financing options, and customer qualification
-
Shadow experienced Sales Representatives to build confidence and skill
Lead Support & Systems

Capture and communicate potential sales opportunities

Enter customer notes and basic information into CRM systems when applicable

Support follow-up efforts as directed
Performance Expectations

Deliver consistent, high-quality customer interactions

Actively recommend and sell products during every customer interaction
