Job Summary
We are a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant seeking a strong, hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead daily kitchen operations. This role requires organization, leadership, and the ability to execute consistently under pressure. The ideal candidate thrives in a busy environment, leads by example, and holds the kitchen to high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and efficiency. The Kitchen Manager helps ensure the quality and safety of Charleston Crab House food every day. They see to it that the kitchen is clean, organized and well stocked. That the equipment is properly maintained and in good condition. Throughout the process they’re serving as a role model for Crew members, helping them learn to become future Kitchen Leaders. At its core, as with every position at Charleston Crab House, it’s about promoting teamwork and creating great customer experience. While on the clock, the Kitchen Manager will always be busy on their feet, accomplishing their goals for the day, taking on tasks that they see that need to get done, and pitching-in to help their teammates.
Duties, Responsibilities and Additional Compensation
- Previous line cooking experience of at least 3 years
- Previous management/leadership experience
- Solid understanding of fundamentals of cooking and knife skills
- Open and flexible availability, including early mornings, afternoons, and weekends
- Organized, quick thinking, adept at multitasking
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- ServSafe or equivalent Food Handler’s Certification required
- Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling best practices
- Constant standing, walking, stopping
- Occasional kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing ladders, and carrying up to 50lbs
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure proper coverage and Labor costs
- Train and support kitchen staff, promoting efficiency and teamwork
- Monitor food quality, portion control, waste management and food cost

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
