Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of pizza dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
- Handle food preparation tasks such as dough stretching, topping assembly, and ingredient portioning with precision
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards throughout all stages of food handling and preparation
- Assist in menu planning by suggesting new pizza flavors and innovative toppings to keep offerings fresh and appealing
- Ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining high standards of presentation and taste
- Support the kitchen team with general food service duties, including cleaning, stocking supplies, and organizing workstations
- Follow all health regulations related to food handling, storage, and kitchen safety practices
Experience
- Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred, especially in pizza or casual dining settings
- Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with special dietary needs and meal accommodations
- Proven skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, knife handling, and meal assembly
- Experience with menu planning, catering, or fine dining environments is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures is essential
- Kitchen experience within the food industry that highlights strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with the principles of food industry standards for cleanliness, hygiene, and customer service excellence
