Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Local Class A CDL Driver specializing in intermodal container transport with a focus on refrigerated (reefer) trailers. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to move intermodal containers, ensuring timely delivery and pickup of freight while maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, to transport intermodal containers across designated routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections on all vehicles and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
- Manage route driving efficiently, adhering to schedules while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
- Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit; handle load transfers at intermodal yards or terminals.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, freight movement, and delivery documentation in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and customers to coordinate pick-ups and deliveries promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid Class A CDL license; familiarity with manual transmission trucks is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of refrigerated trailers (reefers), flatbed configurations, tankers, and other specialized freight handling equipment.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, route planning, and adherence to traffic laws.
- Ability to operate tractor-trailers confidently across diverse terrains and weather conditions.
- Experience in delivery driver roles involving route driving, load securing, and customer interaction.
- 3 years experiance
Pay: $1,550.00 - $3,000.00 per week
