We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) to join a busy Operating Room team. This travel assignment is ideal for a skilled first assistant with strong experience across multiple surgical specialties, including orthopedic, general, neuro, vascular, gynecologic, urologic, and robotic procedures. Candidates should be confident working in a fast-paced surgical environment and participating in an on-call rotation.

- Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 40 guaranteed hours per week

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Certified Surgical First Assistant experience.
- Current NBSTSA Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) certification required.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Strong experience in:
- Orthopedic surgery
- General surgery
- Neurosurgery
- Vascular surgery
- Gynecologic surgery
- Urologic surgery
- Da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery
- Previous travel assignment experience required.
- Must have a verifiable permanent address more than 50 miles from the facility (travel candidates only).
- Cover sheet required for submission.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-assist support during a variety of surgical procedures.
- Maintain a sterile field and ensure strict adherence to aseptic technique.
- Assist surgeons with tissue handling, exposure, hemostasis, suturing, and wound closure.
- Prepare and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies before procedures.
- Anticipate the surgeon's needs and ensure efficient workflow throughout each case.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and surgical technologists to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
- Support orthopedic, general, neuro, vascular, gynecologic, urologic, and robotic surgical procedures.
- Participate in the required on-call rotation and respond to emergency surgical cases as needed.
- Follow all hospital policies, patient safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and documentation requirements.
Pay: $2,100.00 - $2,500.00 per week
Experience:
- recent Certified Surgical First Assistant: 2 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Current NBSTSA (CSFA) certification (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
