Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly upon arrival, establishing a friendly and professional first impression
- Assist customers with product inquiries and recommendations to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling retail sales transactions, cash handling, and cash drawer management
- Upsell products and services by identifying customer needs and presenting suitable options to maximize sales opportunities
- Assist customers in the showroom as needed
- Ensure excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries maintaining clear communication at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a front desk receptionist or in retail sales is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems, Quickbooks Desktop, cash register operations, and retail math for transactions and cash handling
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for sales calculations and cash drawer balancing
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and customer service best practices
