Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters with framing, trim carpentry, and other woodworking tasks using hand tools and power tools
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning, organizing materials, and setting up scaffolding or safety barriers
- Support the installation of fixtures, doors, siding, cabinetry, and other building components according to schematics and blueprints
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as lumber, rebar, drywall, and concrete forms to facilitate smooth workflow
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and assemble building materials on-site
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure construction environment at all times
- Support site cleanup and material staging to ensure efficient project progress
Required Experience
- Physical Stamina: Proven ability to stand, bend, and move for 8+ hours and comfortably lift at least 60 lbs throughout the day.
- Safety First: A basic understanding of job site safety and a commitment to maintaining a clean, hazard-free workspace.
- Tool Literacy: Experience using (or a strong mechanical aptitude for) basic hand tools like hammers, tape measures, and levels.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Reliability: Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to various job sites on time. hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently is essential
Ideal Experience
- Trades Background: Prior experience in construction, remodeling, demolition, or a similar hands-on field (e.g., landscaping or manufacturing).
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with specific carpentry tasks such as framing, trim work, or drywall installation.
- Blueprint Basics: Ability to read a tape measure with high accuracy and a basic understanding of how to follow simple sketches or schematics.
- Multidisciplinary Skills: Exposure to other trades like electrical, plumbing, or painting is a huge plus for our diverse project list.
- Growth Mindset: A strong desire to move from "helper" to "lead" as the company grows; we want someone who asks, "What’s next?" rather than waiting to be told.

Employment Disclosure
1099 Contractor Status: This position begins as a 1099 Independent Contractor role. As a contractor, you will be responsible for your own self-employment tax withholdings.
