Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA ONLY) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, demonstrate excellent communication skills, own and operate a vehicle, and have experience working in diverse clinical settings. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, personalized care to patients at their homes and our facility. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and supporting the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, Feeding and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Provide compassionate care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Document patient information meticulously in medical records ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Assist with patient transfers and positioning using assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or other mobility aids.
- Support infection control protocols by adhering to aseptic techniques and proper sanitation practices across all clinical areas.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams in settings like hospice Facility, Patient's Homes & community care environments to deliver comprehensive patient service.
- Engage in ongoing training related to emergency medicine, geriatrics, to enhance clinical skills.
Requirements
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program is mandatory.
- Proven experience working in diverse healthcare settings including hospital medicine, long-term care facilities, hospice care, or outpatient clinics.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for medical documentation and patient data management.
- Knowledge of vital signs measurement, anatomy and physiology fundamentals, and basic life support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices including aseptic techniques and infectious disease protocols.
