Job Overview:
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Barista to join our fast paced team! As a key member of our coffee shop, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing delicious food items and drinks, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Barista is expected to participate in preparing food delivery orders, catering, and event preparations.
Duties:
- Greet customers and take orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks, including espresso-based beverages and specialty drinks
-Assemble sandwiches and other food items.
- Manage cash handling and operate a point-of-sale system
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the coffee bar, floors, and restrooms
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food and drinks
- Provide exceptional customer service and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Keep track of sales and inventory, performing basic retail math to ensure accurate orders and cash handling
- Operate POS system to manage orders, track sales, and manage inventory
- Upsell and promote our products and services to increase sales and drive business growth
- Maintain a positive and supportive team environment
Qualifications:
- Experience in the food industry, preferably in a coffee shop or restaurant setting
- Knowledge of coffee and its preparation methods
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Basic retail math skills and experience with cash handling and point-of-sale systems
- Certification in food safety is a plus
- A friendly and approachable demeanor, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Pay: $17.88 - $24.00 per hour
